Man Charged after Making Death Threats Against Valentino Rossi

A 42 year old man was identified and charged by the Digos (investigative unit) of the Police Headquarters in Pesaro and the Polposta for making death threats against Valentino Rossi and threatening to kill the Italian champion during the upcoming Mugello GP.
The man who lives in Casale Monferrato (Alessandria) using a false name was completely obsessed by his hatred of Rossi, making numerous and threatening phone calls that involved not only Rossi, but also targeting Rossi’s family and close friends phones.

The man also announced his intention to carry out the threat by calling the television media and newspapers.
The matter was kept confidential until this morning, when the suspect’s house was searched and investigators found overwhelming evidence and the man admitted his offense and will now be prosecuted.
