In the early hours of Friday morning, a man was discovered in a critical condition on Strathmore Drive, Mastrick. The 49-year-old was found by police at approximately AM on May 9, after reports of a serious incident in the area.

Emergency services quickly transported him to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he remains under medical care.

New information from the police indicates that the man was riding an e-scooter shortly before he was found injured.

Witnesses reported seeing him walking with the e-scooter from Gadie Crescent onto Strathmore Drive, where he appeared to be in distress. Despite ongoing investigations, the e-scooter has not yet been located, raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detective Inspector Andrew Wilson of Police Scotland has stated that detectives are conducting thorough inquiries, including door-to-door visits and reviewing CCTV footage from the area. “We’d urge anyone who may have seen the man or knows what happened to him to come forward,” he said. The police are particularly interested in any information that could shed light on how the man sustained his injuries.

Residents in the Mastrick area have expressed their concerns regarding the heavy police presence since the incident occurred. One local resident reported seeing pools of blood on the street, highlighting the severity of the situation.
