The Van Life Family, consisting of Amy, Dan, and their two daughters, Sienna and Savannah, are embarking on a new chapter in their lives. After years of traveling across the UK and Europe in their campervans, they are trading their nomadic lifestyle for a semi-permanent home on the picturesque Isle of Tiree.

Why Tiree? A unique island experience
Tiree, located off the west coast of Scotland, is renowned for its stunning white sandy beaches, strong winds, and a close-knit community of around 650 residents.
The island, measuring just 12 miles long and three miles wide, may seem small, but it offers a wealth of hidden gems and breathtaking seascapes. The family first visited Tiree in 2021 and was captivated by its charm, leading to their decision to rent a property there while still maintaining their beloved campervan lifestyle.
Balancing island life with adventure
Despite their move to Tiree, the Van Life Family is committed to keeping their adventurous spirit alive. Amy plans to homeschool their daughters while Dan, an experienced electrician, intends to contribute his skills to the local community. The family’s campervan will remain an integral part of their routine, allowing them to explore the island and beyond whenever the opportunity arises. As Amy puts it, “We’ll still hit the road in our camper whenever the wind takes us.”
