2026 DP World Tour Schedule Overview
On Wednesday, the DP World Tour revealed a comprehensive schedule featuring at least 42 tournaments across 25 countries. The calendar is divided into three phases: the initial five Global Swings, followed by the Back 9, and concluding with the DP World Tour Play-Offs in November 2026.
This structure is designed to engage golf fans throughout the season.
Notably, the total prize fund for the 2026 season will reach a record $157.5 million, excluding Major Championships. This significant financial commitment underscores the tour’s dedication to fostering a competitive environment in professional golf.
The season will kick off with the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship from May 7-10 at the Real Club de Golf El Prat in Barcelona, setting an exciting tone for the European Swing.
Significant Tournaments and Co-sanctions
A key event on the schedule is the Genesis Scottish Open, co-sanctioned with the PGA TOUR, taking place from July 9-12 at the Renaissance Club. This tournament is part of the Rolex Series and includes other major events such as the Hero Dubai Desert Classic and the BMW PGA Championship. The season will conclude with the crowning of the 2026 Race to Dubai Champion at the DP World Tour Championship from November 12-15.
Additionally, the DP World Tour will feature the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic for the first time, scheduled for July 16-19, as part of the Race to Dubai. This addition reflects the tour’s goal to broaden its global footprint and enhance competition.
Dubai Events and Returning Tournaments
In total, the DP World Tour will host three events in Dubai during the 2026 season. The Dubai Invitational, set for January 15-18, will return after a brief hiatus, having alternated with the Team Cup in the previous year. This emphasis on Dubai highlights its significance as a central hub for international golf.
As the tour prepares for the 2026 season, excitement is building among players and fans. The combination of prestigious venues, substantial prize funds, and a competitive structure positions the 2026 DP World Tour as a pivotal chapter in the history of professional golf.
