Technoblade’s journey with cancer began in 2021, when he initially dismissed his arm pain as a common issue stemming from his gaming lifestyle. However, a sudden escalation in his symptoms led to a hospital visit, where doctors diagnosed him with sarcoma, a serious and often aggressive form of cancer that affects soft tissues and bones. Despite treatment efforts, Technoblade succumbed to the disease at the young age of 23, leaving a void in the gaming community.
A charitable endeavor
In tribute to Technoblade, TommyInnit is set to host a unique livestream event called ‘The Curious Case of the Copper Key’. This interactive mystery will engage viewers in solving a puzzle involving six suspects who have laid claim to an enigmatic key, challenging participants to deduce its true ownership and purpose.

Construction began in August, with hopes for completion by 2028, and it will ultimately open its doors to young patients in 2029.
With pediatric cancer diagnoses on the rise—over 15% since the 1990s—the demand for such facilities is critical. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health reports that approximately 1,600 children under the age of 15 are diagnosed with cancer annually in the UK, highlighting the importance of research and funding in this area. Notably, only 4% of cancer research funding is allocated for pediatric cases, making initiatives like Tommy’s even more vital.
