Our enriching activities promote skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game, ensuring a fun and educational experience for children of all ages. Join us to inspire the next generation of football stars!

The YMCA provides a dynamic environment for children to engage in football. Under the supervision of FA Level 3 licensed coach Dave Roberts, participants will learn essential skills such as passing, dribbling, and shooting. Structured drills and small-sided games emphasize skill development while promoting teamwork, communication, and listening skills, allowing children to make new friends and enjoy their time.

Football sessions available

Parents can support their children’s football journey by ensuring they wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Attire should allow for free movement; for indoor sessions, non-marking trainers are required. Additionally, children should bring a sports bottle filled with water to stay hydrated during activities.

February half-term football camp

The upcoming February Half-term Football Camp is set for boys and girls aged 7 to 14. It will take place at Earlswood Junior School, led by FA qualified coaches, including Dave Roberts and Mike Roberts.

Participants will undergo fundamental training through various structured drills and small-sided games. The camp is scheduled for Tuesday, 17th February, and Wednesday, 18th February 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Parents will find the cost structure accommodating, with individual days priced at £25.00 or a two-day booking available for £45.00. As the sessions will occur outdoors on a grass field, children should wear suitable footwear, such as boots, and bring a waterproof coat. A packed lunch and a water bottle are also necessary for the duration of the camp.

Weekly football sessions

Monday sessions

On Mondays during term-time, the YMCA hosts mixed football sessions for various age groups:

  • 5-7 years: 15:50 – 16:30
  • 8-10 years: 16:30 – 17:30
  • 11+ years: 17:30 – 18:30

Each session costs £6.50, and parents are encouraged to book a full term in advance to secure their child’s spot. The venue for these sessions is the YMCA Sports & Community Centre, located on Princes Road, Redhill.

Girls football opportunities

Girls football sessions on Tuesdays (during the summer term only) are designed for girls aged 7 to 14, running from 17:00 to 18:30. Each session costs £9 and must also be booked for the full term. These sessions take place at Earlswood Junior School.

Additionally, the Wildcats program on Thursdays caters to girls aged 5 to 11. This non-competitive initiative allows girls to experience football in a friendly, supportive environment. Sessions run from 16:00 to 17:00, at just £5 per session.

Specialized training and competitive teams

On Fridays, dedicated football training is offered for girls aged 7 to 11 from 17:00 to 18:00, as well as for those aged 12 to 14 who are members of the YMCA East Surrey Girls U14s team from 17:30 to 19:00. Each session costs £7.50 and requires booking for the entire term. Training takes place at Oakwood Secondary School on a 3G artificial pitch.

For those interested in competitive play, our competitive girls football teams compete every Sunday in the Surrey County Women’s & Girls Football League. Teams are available for under 14s, under 11s, and under 10s, focusing on providing an enriching experience for aspiring footballers.

Parents can support their children’s football journey by ensuring they wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
