This splendid photo takes in two great champions from times gone by in the two-wheel world.
This start of the AMA Superbike championship, to which World Superbike owes a lot, sees Eddie Lawson on the Kawasaki 60 and Freddie Spencer on the Honda 43 on the track.

That’s seven world titles shared between the two of them, and in this pic, the start of what looks like another battle.
