The McArthur Glen Bridgend Designer Outlet is poised for a substantial transformation, with plans for a 2,300-square-metre retail extension and a new deck car park submitted to the local council. This development aims to enhance one of Wales’ most beloved shopping destinations, which has been a staple since its opening in May 1998.
The outlet, currently home to around 80 retailers a cinema, and popular eateries like Nando’s and Wagamama is set to grow even further. The proposed expansion focuses on the southernmost end of the centre, an area currently used as an overflow car park.

The developers assured that no material changes to traffic volumes are anticipated and that, as there are no plans for additional food and beverage operators, they do not expect littering to increase.
