Nicolo Bulega triumphed in the second WorldSBK race at Misano, leading from start to finish and setting a new fastest lap.

The World Superbike Championship witnessed another spectacular performance by Nicolo Bulega at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Riding his Racing Ducati Panigale V4RBulega secured a commanding victory in Race Two, extending his championship lead with a dominant display.
The Italian rider, who started the season as the championship point leaderwon the 21-lap race by a margin of 5.101 seconds.
His teammate, Iker Lecuonafinished second, while Yari Montella claimed the third spot on his Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati Panigale V4R.
Bulega’s Historic Achievement
Bulega’s victory at Misano marked his 25th consecutive win in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.
He matched Toprak Razgatlioglu’s tally from the previous year, setting a new record for the second-highest number of wins in a single season. This victory also marked his seventh hat-trick of the year, a feat never achieved before in a single season.
Lecuona, who has been a consistent runner-up, extended his record of consecutive second-place finishes to 18. The Spanish rider put up a strong challenge but was ultimately outpaced by Bulega’s superior speed and strategy.
The Battle for the Podium
The race saw intense competition among the top riders. Axel Lowesriding for bimota by Kawasakifinished fourth, while Tarran Mackenzie secured fifth place on his MGM Optical Express Racing Ducati Panigale V4R. American rider Garrett Gerloff made a remarkable comeback, moving from 22nd on the grid to finish 12th.
Yari Montella capitalized on a late crash by Axel Bassani to claim the third podium position. Montella’s performance was particularly notable as he finished with three podiums in a single round for the second time this season.
Championship Standings
With this victory, Bulega further solidified his lead in the championship standings. He now has 434 points121 points ahead of Lecuona, who sits in second place with 313 points. Montella is third with 170 points.
