Throughout August, Eat Out to Help Out scheme will allow restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs, food halls and work canteens to give 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks. People can eat with the discount every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until August 31.
This scheme will be present on Monday and make people save at maximum £10 for dinner on meals.
Rishi Sunak revealed the scheme last month to push the devastated sector. The Chancellor declared:“To get customers back into restaurants, cafes and pubs and protect the 1.8 million people who work in them we will give everyone an ‘eat out to help’ out discount.” But it does not cover alcohol. Togheter with the Government’s VAT cut, prices will be lowered up to two thirds cheaper than before lockdown.
People can claim the discount on as much as you like. Then you do not need vouchers and can combine it at the same time with other offers. The discount will be automatically available to you at participating establishments. They will then ask for reimbursement from the Government for the discount they’ve delivered.
The restaurants can be found within five miles of you or enter your postcode to https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/eat-out-to-help-out/find-a-restaurant/. However, if you are in a lockdown area, restaurants may be closed. Even though it is open, remain following the local guideline.
You can eat cheap with discount at Burger King, JD Wetherspoon, McDonald’s, Costa, Nando, KFC, Pizza Express, Wagamama, M&S, Steakhouse Hawksmoor. Also more that 40 Michellin-starred restaurants also accepted the scheme, such as Jason Atherton’s Social Eating House in London’s Soho.
