Southern recipes: Best fried chicken ever!
Southern Fried chicken
Ingredients:
1 chicken ( cleaned and cut into pieces)
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cups oil
Method: How to make fried chicken
Pour the buttermilk into a bowl.Season the pieces of chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder and cayenne pepper.Place the seasoned chicken into the bowl of buttermilk so that the buttermilk covers the chicken.The buttermilk will soak into the chicken and moisten the finished product.
Place inside the fridge for 30 minutes.Pour flour in a bowl and season with the remaining seasonings.Remove chicken from the buttermilk and coat with flour.Put a deep frying pan on medium to high heat and fry the chicken for
10 to 12 minutes on each side until it becomes golden brown.
Country fried chicken
Ingredients:
Chicken grease
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Chicken ( cleaned and cut into pieces)
2 cups flour
Method: How to make country fried chicken
After washing the chicken, place them in a bowl.Add flour to the bowl, lightly flouring the chicken.In a non-stick pan, add 1/2 cup of chicken grease on medium to low heat.Add the chicken to the pan when the grease is hot enough. Be very careful to avoid being burnt.Add salt and pepper and cover the pan. Remove the lid and turn once the chicken begins to brown.Add salt and pepper once more.Watch closely and never leave hot grease unsupervised.When both sides of the chicken are brown, remove the lid and allow to fry for a further ten minutes until it becomes extra crispy.
