Back in 2009 when John Hopkins was still in World Superbikes with Stiggy Racing Honda, the Anglo-American said, “I wouldn’t go back to MotoGP unless I could get on the most competitive machinery that I could.
That’s the only way I’d go back to MotoGP,” but apparently Hopkins may return in 2011, but only for a wildcard ride with his old MotoGP Rizla Suzuki team.

Paul Denning speaking to British website crashnet confirmed that Hopper will be getting a World Superbike wildcard ride at the Donington Park round, before the British Superbikes season revs up and coming from left field was the question if the American could also ride a Suzuki MotoGP bike, with the manager smiling and answering “Watch this space…”Whether Denning is just teasing or trying to grab a headline or two, wouldn’t it be great to see the Hopper back on that powder blue GSV-R and maybe doing a Troy Bayliss (2006 wildcard winner at Valencia) and pulling one of his wheelies?
