MotoGP’s warm-up practice was pretty tight this morning at sunny Misano (rain is still expected this afternoon) until Casey Stoner decided to do one of his usual flying laps at the end of the session that left second place Jorge Lorenzo adrift by 0.

Marco Simoncelli was fourth, while Nicky Hayden made a massive jump up from yesterday’s 15th place in qualifying to take fifth and was 0.
766s from the top of the timesheets to become the fastest Ducati rider of the morning.
Alvaro Bautista debuted his new one-off Micron chrome livery to take sixth and he was the last rider to be within a second from Stoner.
Hector Barbera was an excellent 7th, shaving off another four tenths from his yesterday’s lap time as Ben Spies dropped back to 8th.
Colin Edwards took 9th, while Cal Crutchlow also took a big step forward to close out the top ten.
Valentino Rossi’s crew did not find the usual rabbit out of the hat, as he fell back to 14th managing only to shave off less than one tenth from his qualifying time.
