Christini AWD Motorcycles is a Philadephia-based company that is leader in the development of All Wheel Drive technology for motorcycles and has a special patent for the power transmission to the front wheel that allows for improved performance of the vehicle on any terrain, including ‘regular’ street.
The American manufacturer has announced its line-up of products for 2013 – entirely made of all-wheel-drive motorcycles, of course – thay will include a number of significant technical upgrades for every model.
The new Christini range includes the confirmed AWD 250 and AWD 300 ‘2-stroke’ machines as well as the ‘4-stroke’ AWD 450, 450 Dual Sport and 450 Supermoto, that will be joined in 2013 by a brand new bike: the Christini AWD 450 Enduro.
Peculiar traction system aside, the new model (also identified as AWD 450E) is also equipped with a slew of top notch components – most notably the Keihin FCR 40 mm carburettor, fully adjustable 48 mm Marzocchi fork and a cool aftermarket aluminum exhaust system – and uses a wide ratio transmission and an electric starter.
The price of the AWD 450E for the American market has been set at $ 7,795 (about € 5,940 at current exchange rates).
