We posted on Andrew Phoenix’s riding blindfold experiment earlier, but it turns out that he used a car instead to complete the task.
The police had requested Phoenix wear a helmet during the enterprise, and so he switched to a car, apparently to avoid accusations that he would have used audio help inside the helmet.

The experiment to drive a car five kilometres while blindfold took place on the weekend, and with two volunteers in the car who confirmed that Phoenix could perceive, extra sensorially, parts of the external world including colours, pedestrians, and other vehicles.

The drive took place in front of a crowd of people and Andrew Phoenix has admitted to the difficulty of the task, advising that people not try this at home.
I certainly have no intention of doing so!
