At the Memorial Bettega held at the Bologna Motor Show saw Valentino Rossi lose out in the double match against the Finnish legend, World Rally Champion Marcus Gronholm.
Rossi on a M-Sport-prepared Ford Focus RS WRC car could not keep up with the expert rally driver and his Subaru on the short and mixed tarmac/dirt track of area 48, Gronholm did a 49”75 against Rossi’s 54”71 in the first heat and a 49”90 against 51”01 in the second.
The Italian champion was interviewed after the event and as usual when Rossi drives cars the questions go towards what will he be doing in the future:“Well it depends on a lot of things.
We will see what will happen in the future.
For now I have some big question marks, because I still have not decided what I will do in the coming years.
I chose the winter to do some car racing because I’ve decided that I when I quit motorcycle racing I’m going to race cars, but racing bikes remains my real job, then after this break I’ll go back to being a motorcycle racer”
