Thomas Betti Wins 1st Round of the FIM E-Power Championship

If you thought that MotoGP had a small grid, the FIM’s first round of the International E-Power Championship at Le Mans that was run ahead of the opening of the Le Mans 24 Hours Moto, was even more scanty as it had only five riders.

Only five riders partecipated in the race even if there were six entrants and the FIM had waived the entry fee and had announced a 1,000 euro “participation allowance” for the first 16 riders in the qualifying practice for the Le Mans race.

The race winner was Thomas Betti, an Italian firefighter (his racing #115 is the emergency number in Italy to call the Fire Dept).
Riding a Betti Moto, built by his father Luciano who also participated in this 6 lap event.
