Two time World Superbike champion Troy Corser retires from racing

Troy Corser has announced his retirement from racing.
The two time World Superbike champion (1996 and 2005) will be hanging up his lid and leathers at the end of today’s Superbike final round of the season at Portimao.
Corser 40, has spent twenty years in World Superbikes taking two titles, 33 race wins, 130 podiums and 43 pole positions and will end his career aboard the BMW S1000RR which will debut a special green crocodile livery paint job to celebrate the Australian sportsman.

Corser will remain in the BMW orbit as development rider and PR spokesperson, while his place in the team will be taken over by Marco Melandri.
