Robbie Maddison takes win in Calgary

At the second event of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2009 in Calgary, Canada, FMX Superstar Robbie “Maddo” Maddison who is known for his world record feats was able to stay in front of Japan’s Eigo Sato and Mat Rebeaud and take his first X Fighters win in front of a sell out crowd of 21,000 spectators at the Stampede Park.

Robbie Maddison:“I can’t believe it.
It’s a dream come true.
The hard work paid off.
The whole day was totally insane.
I had a feeling from the start that I had a chance to win today, and after winning the quarter-final against Nate Adams I knew I could go all the way.

”This is for sure the biggest win of my career because it was on an international playfield.
I’ve won events before but not of this magnitude.
This has always been a goal of mine and it ranks up there with my world records.
The event was sick.
The place was sold out, we had the best riders in the world, every rider was on point, and I can honestly say this was the best event I have ever been a part of.
