Repsol presents Moto3 GP and CEV teams

Repsol presented their MotoGP and Moto2 backed teams in Madrid on March 3rd at the Palacio de Deportes, and today it was the turn of their 2012 Moto3 GP and CEV squads at El Matadero de Madrid, the Spanish capital’s Centre of Contemporary Creation.

Four weeks away from the start of the Moto3 World Championship, Repsol riders Miguel Oliveira and Álex Rins had their own special presentation alongside their machines this morning.

Joined by fellow Repsol family members Álex Márquez, María Herrera, Francesco Bagnaia and Lorenzo Baldassarri —riders from the CEV Spanish National series, they showed off the new livery which will feature on their bikes in 2012.

Álex Rins —reigning CEV champion— and Miguel Oliveira are the talented pairing in an exciting squad (Monalu Competicion) who will be aiming to impress on the world stage, alongside last year’s breakout star, Maverick Viñales (Avintia Racing).
As a training ground for the World Championship, the CEV receives plenty of attention from Repsol.
This year is no different, as the energy company have lined up Álex Márquez and “Pecco” Bagnaia for another season in order to fight for the national title.

They are joined by newcomers María Herrera and Lorenzo Baldassarri.
All of these riders are aiming to acheive the same success as Repsol’s MotoGP stars: Reigning premier class World Champion, Casey Stoner, teammate Dani Pedrosa and Moto2 runner-up, Marc Márquez.
Miguel Oliveira :“The presentation was really fun and it was a great opportunity to bring together all the riders from the team and talk to journalists.
We are a team with everything in place to do well this year, so all that we need now is top ut the hard work in.
Next week is the final oficial test of the season at Jerez and we will be trying new things there and giving our all”.
Álex Rins: “The presentation organised by the team was really good.
I have to thank all the sponsors for this opportunity.
We have the Jerez test next week and I am almost fully recovered from my shoulder injury, just in time.
I’m around 80% fit, so that won’t stop me from going strong.
I hope to do the best that I can and adapt well to the bike”.
