Iannone’s father Regalino and Silvio Vercelli run the Speed Master Moto2 and MotoGP squads, but his son doesn’t want to ride one of his father’s lowly CRT machines in MotoGP (that honour currently goes to friend Mattia Pasini), but wants a competitive machine that will let him express all his potential and if it’s a Ducati even better.

In several interviews including one with Sportmediaset yesterday, Iannone said he doesn’t know if he’ll be in MotoGP next season, but said that he can see himself on an Italian machine, thus proclaiming his love for Ducati – which isn’t the first time.

The Moto2 rider has already tested a Pramac Ducati satellite machine last year at Mugello and when his other close friend Valentino Rossi heard him he said, “Andrea Iannone is a great rider and since he likes Ducati so much, I think Ducati should take up his offer.
