Honda unveils the CBR400R for the Japanese market

In the end, the rumors about the arrival of a 2014 Honda CBR400R have proven true.
Directly from Honda Japan, here are the first official images and details of the latest addition to the sporty CBR range, which will position itself between the Honda CBR250R and the recentyl unveiled CBR500R.

The model was designed and produced for the domestic market – though it should go on sale in several other Asian countries as well – where the segment of the midium sportsbikes is definitely on the rise.
The new Honda CBR400R is powered by a twin-cylinder water-cooled 400 cc unit credited with an output of 46 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 3.

8 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
Dry weight is rated at 192 kg.
Other highlights of the Honda CBR400R include a 15-liter fuel tank, a 41 mm telescopic fork and wide-section tires (120/70ZR17 at the front, 160/60ZR17 at the rear), while the ABS is available on request.
Initially, the model will enter the Japanese market with three different color options: red, black and the well known white/red/blue HRC racing combination.

Last but not least, the price: the monochrome version without ABS costs 669,900 yen (about 5,100 Euros), the variant with HRC livery and ABS is priced at 750,750 yen (approximately 5,700 Euros).
