Imola 200 Miglia Revival – 3rd Edition (w/video)

The third edition of the three-day Imola 200 Miglia Revival was held this past weekend at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari and this year marks the 40th anniversay of Imola 200 Miglia, which was won by Paul Smart on the revolutionary Ducati 750 back in April 1972.

This year’s event was even bigger and saw the addition of a four-hour endurance race with more than forty riders competing on motorcycles built before 1980 and with a Le Mans style start with pit stops and rider changes.

Loris Capirossi and Luca Cadalora were guests and they rode side by side in one of the key moments of the event.
Capirossi took track with one of his former 2004 Ducati Desmosedici, while Luca Cadalora rode Jorge Lorenzo’s Yamaha M1 800cc using his own racing #3, but the event also saw the partecipation of Roberto Gallina, Roland Freymond, Fausto Ricci, Gianfranco Bonera, Renzo Pasolini and Jean-François Baldé.

Gianni Rolando, Virginio Ferrari, Loris Reggiani, Fausto Gresini, Bruno Spaggiari, Rossano Brazzi and Riccardo Crespi and naturally Dr.
Claudio Costa founder of the Clinica Mobile whose father Checco fell in love with the Daytona 200 and then decided to organize one in Italy on the circuit that he helped build.

After the jump a highlight video of the three-day event.
