Holiday Gym drops out of 2011 Moto2 championship

While the 2011 Moto2 entry list seemed to be another bumper crop of teams and riders, however after Jack & Jones by Antonio Banderas racing team decided to drop out due to sponsorship problems, now Holiday Gym Racing has also announced that they will not be on the grid next season.

Holiday Gym Racing, who raced with Gelete and Pablo Nieto’s G22 team this season, before getting their own approved entry in 2011 with a Moriwaki and would have been fielding Xavier Simeon, but have decided to pull out of the 2011 championship.

In a press release, Vanessa Guerra, the now ex-team manager announced that Holiday Gym who is run by the Guerra family (Yannick, is the son of the owner of the team and of Holiday Gym) have decided to not take part in the upcoming season and have already informed Dorna and IRTA on the 15th of December.
The reason is that the team received only one rider entry, while for the whole season they had two and sometimes three riders on the grid, and fielding a sole rider with all the relative costs would be too expensive.

(you figure it out …) So Xavier Simeon, a former 600cc and 1000cc Superstock champion, who subbed for both Fonsi Nieto and Yannick Guerra when they were injured now joins the list of unemployed riders, that also includes Kenny Noyes and Gabor Talmacsi
