Intermot 2008: K 1300 S, most powerful BMW ever

After plenty of stolen glimpses and rumour mongering, BMW has revealed the K 1300 S model, which is the most powerful BMW model ever.
With 175hp, the S model has a four cylinder engine at its heart, taking power to the 1300cc threshold.

The torque is 140Nm at 8,500 rpm, on a bike who’s dry weight is only 228kg.

Given the power already on the old K 1200, the above figures give an idea that this will be a true missile on asphalt.

BMW’s intention to develop this range to the fullest is evident, as the German company gets busy conquering the high performance market.
For some details on the K 1300 S, go after the jump.
