Rossi was followed by his team mate Nicky Hayden in third, If this afternoon’s race should be declared wet, both Ducatisti could surprise.
Andrea Dovizioso took fourth with Cal Crutchlow in fifth.
Casey Stoner was ‘only’ sixth, but considering the race pace he’s had all weekend he probably decided not to push too much.
