Put Valentino Rossi and Ducati together and what do get, presales event tickets going through the roof, at least for the Gran Premio d’Italia at the Mugello that takes place July 3rd.
Dean Adams of Superbike planet called Rossi a one-man ticket generator when the 2010 ticket sales at Laguna Seca jumped a 10% from the previous year, after the Italian announced he’d be racing at the Californian circuit following his leg injury, While the Mugello circuit promotors announced last week that their first batch of presales to the July event have jumped a massive 45% from last year, chalking it up mainly to the new and finally covered central grandstand, but we know differently, it’s just got to be Italian fans wanting to see if Rossi can be the king of the Mugello even on the Desmosedici GP 11 or if he’ll go bust.
