Jonathan Rea had a couple of rough moments in Race 1 at Assen, before the skies decided to start dumping rain causing it be red flagged (but only after Melandri, Smrz and Hopkins went flying out at the De Bult turn) but just before the Honda rider managed to make this great save.

After suffering a finger injury when he crashed out of the lead in the re-started race, Rea won Race 2.
