Loris Baz was 4th fastest and a second behind his Kawasaki team mate, while Pata Honda’s Leon Haslam and Jonathan Rea wrapped their testing program on Tuesday.
Haslam concentrated on finding the limit of his CBR100RR and completed a total of 152 laps over the two days and his best lap was in 1’42″039.
Rea concentrated more on testing new parts for the 2013 season than chasing lap times he continued work the swingarm that he tested at Aragon, an updated Arrow exhaust system and electronics – completing 169 laps and according to the team’s Twitter feed both riders did their best lap times only on hard tires.
Michel Fabrizio with the Red Devils Roma branded Aprilia dropped back behind the rest of the field on day 2 as he finished with 1’42″114 lap.
The Ducati armada is descending on Jerez today, with Superbike, MotoGP and Superstock teams: Alstare Ducati with Carlos Checa and Ayrton Badovini, the MotoGP factory team with Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden, Pramac’s Andrea Iannone and test riders Franco Battaini and Michele Pirro and also Barni Racing’s Eddi La Marra and Niccolò Canepa.
BMW Motorrad Italia’s Marco Melandri and Chaz Davies and MotoGP’s Avintia Blusens CRT team with Hector Barbera and Hiroshi Aoyama will also be present.
