Marc Marquez quickest in FP3 at Misano

No one told Marc Marquez that the first few laps at Misano should be done calmly because the nearness of the circuit to the Adriatic sea can deposit some saltiness on the track surface during the evening and making it a little slippier, as the Repsol Honda rider once again lead the proceedings.

Posting a best lap of 1′33.
975, Marquez headed the top of the timesheets in FP3 followed by his team mate Dani Pedrosa who suffered a crash in the third sector at the Rio, but with no physical consequences.
The Yamaha duo of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, were third and fourth respectively.

Lorenzo spent a long time in his pit at the start of session after having donejust two laps, while Rossi as usual debuted a new helmet for his home race.
The new ‘musical’ graphics were a tribute to late friend and rider Marco Simoncelli, with Pink Floyd’s song “Wish you were here“ scrawled on the helmet.
Andrea Dovizioso made a very good jump forward finishing fifth with his Ducati GP13 Evo and just 0.
473s from Marquez and ahead of Alvaro Bautista, Stefan Bradl and Andrea Iannone who finally made it into the Q2, and Nicky Hayden.

Unable to repeat his sensational Friday’s fifth spot Aleix Espargaro however did enter the the Q2, with a 10th best time.
Prototype riders not making the Q2 cut and will have to fight in Q1 were: Michele Pirro who crashed at turn 5, Cal Crutchlow who is still not completely fit and is struggling to find confidence and his team mate 2013 MotoGP Misano FP3 results:01- Marc Marquez – Repsol Honda Team – Honda RC213V – 1’33.
