H-Moto Superstock squad plans to enter WSBK Evo class

When Dorna took over the World Superbike champion one of the first things that they wanted to do was slash racing costs and also help boost dwindling grids.
When the plans were first outlined, several Superstock and Supersport squads expressed a certain interest, and now the 2014 WSBK rules were layed out last week , H-moto has officially announced their plans of entering the new World Superbike EVO Championship.

The Hungarian based team that fields Alen Gyorfi in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup is ready to make the switch, with details to be announced in the near future.
“We have been waiting for the official news of the plans for WSBK for a number of weeks,” said team manager Kristian Keleman.

“The new rules excite us and we are pleased to announce our plan to run in the eni World Superbike EVO Championship in 2014.
“At this time we cannot confirm the bike or rider, these details are to be finalised over the coming weeks.

In addition to the riding in Superbike, we aim to continue also in the Superstock support category and details of our plan here will be made public once we have further details about the 2014 championship classes from Dorna.

” The new Superbike rules will see a price cap on brakes and supensions, limit the number of engines to eight per season and the MSMA has agreed to provide competitive packages at fixed prices.
The EVO class – the complete rules have yet to be fully announced – will have chassis, suspension and brake components based on the new cost SBK cutting rules, while engines and electronics will follow the current Superstock rules.
