The new Fiat Fiorino has been nominated the “International Van of the Year 2009″ (with 112 points out of 140), by a jury composed of journalists from 20 European countries.
The prize was awarded at the Hannover show, an important show for commercial and industrial vehicles.
The Fiorino won due to its combination of praticality, economy and agility.
Its reduced dimensions give it greater handling for this kind of vehicle.
A new segment has now emerged at the lower end of the market, given that most competitors options have actually increased considerably in size.
The official recognition in the form of this award, reflects what the market was already showing.
Since its launch last December, the Fiat Fiorino has collected 28,000 orders with the panel van and Combi versions.
