Here are new official pics of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera which we first saw in live Gallardo pics from the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
As the name suggests, the Gallardo Superleggera is all about the lightest Lamborghini around, with a weight saving of 70 kg on the standard Gallardo, for a total of 1,340 kg.
With a power boost of 10 hp to the V10 engine, with a total of 570 hp, the figures make for a record weight power ratio of 2.

Obviously carbonfibre abounds in this new Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, with the entire bonnet component in carbonfibre and other elements made from polycarbon.
Carbonfibre is also used for the rear wing, side skirts, diffusor and rear view mirrors.
In total the carbonfibre elements make up 40 of the 70 kg saved on the LP560, and are also used in the interior door panels, central tunnel and seat shells.
