Aspar replaces Hector Faubel with Luca Amato in Moto3

It looks like Aspar Martinez’s big maneuvers aren’t over and is back playing musical chairs with his lower class teams.
After replacing Toni Elias with Jordi Torres in Moto2 last July, and Alberto Moncayo with Jonas Folger last month, this month it’s veteran rider Hector Faubel turn to get the axe (in politically correct press releases it’s called parting ways, or mutual divorce) and with just five races left in the season.

Highly tipped to replace Faubel – according to numerous Spanish sources – is Luca Amato – who despite the Italian name is a German national, just like Sandro Cortese, It seems that Martinez has had his eye on Amato for some time, but the CEV rider was still underage for GP racing, but just turned 16 which now makes him eligible and he currently rides an FTR in the CEV Moto3 championship and is second in the standings.

Despite his vast racing experience, Faubel has not been able to take better than 7th in two occasions this season, while new team mate Jonas Folger after his switch to Aspar from Ioda Racing has taken to the Kalex KTM like a duck to water, and has already scored a third place podium at Indianapolis and his first win of the season at Brno.
