MotoGP Mugello: Dani Pedrosa Dominates Under the Italian Sun

Dani Pedrosa won the Italian GP at the Mugello with dominating and solitary ride from start to finish and breaking the circuit record with a best lap 1′49″531 and a massive and more than a 7 second lead on the rest of the field until pulling in the reins and cruising to his first win of the season and his ninth of his MotoGP career.

It was a no story race for the other front runners who just didn’t have his race pace.
Jorge Lorenzo took second and had to work for it at the beginning of the race battling with an excellent Andrea Dovizioso who started 9th on the grid was able to fight with the Spaniard until he started to fade and finished in third.

The trio Casey Stoner, Marco Melandri and Randy DePuniet offered the best fight for fourth place, with the three riders exchanging positions until Stoner on the final lap was able to pass the Gresini rider to take fourth and his best result of the season and leaving De Puniet the sixth spot.
Ben Spies took seventh after running as high as fourth in the early laps, but couldn’t quite catch the battling group in front of him.

The eighth spot went to Aleix Espargaro followed by Marco Simoncelli who also went for ride through the gravel trap on the opening lap and Loris Capirossi closed out the top ten.
