Marco Melandri to begin shoulder rehabilitation

On February 27th, Marco Melandri underwent arthroscopic surgery on his shoulder to clean up adhesions and arthritis to the acromion (the outer end of the scapula to which the collarbone is attached), the BMW Motorrad Goldbet rider gave an update on his current health status via Twitter:“Finally stitches are off and doctor said i can force moviment and work on resistence… So happy!! Gogogo!!!” but he also added “Shoulder getting better but in 9 days i lost 3 kg muscles”Melandri finished 3rd in Race 2 at Phillip Island after being punted off track by Carlos Checa is Race 1, and even if he will not be 100% fit, will be present for the second round of the World Superbike season at the Motorland Aragon circuit scheduled for April 14th.
