Marc Marquez takes 2013 Indianapolis pole position with record breaking lap

Marc Marquez grabbed his fourth pole position of the 2013 season with record breaking laps at the Indianapolis circuit.

Cal Crutchlow missed out on a front row start by a mere 0.
017s to take fourth ahead of Alvaro Bautista and Nicky Hayden with his sixth spot was more than 1.
1 seconds.
Bradley Smith was seventh and opening the third row, while Stefan Bradl crashed out for the third time this weekend.
The German rider lost the front of his Honda at turn 1, sliding out again and unable to repeat his previous performances in free practices ending up 8th.

Even worse was Valentino Rossi.
The Italian was unable to use the softer tires effectively and ended up just ninth, his worse qualifying session of the season.
Andrea Dovizioso was 10th ahead of Pramac’s Andrea Iannone and Colin Edwards who finished his first ever Q2 session in 12th and this was the best result for the American this season, equalling his 2012 Sachsenring grid start.
