Volkswagen Iroc Concept – first images

A reader sends us these photos scanned from a spanish magazine that show the Volkswagen Iroc Concept, the car that will be shown at the Paris Auto Show and that should prefigure the next VW Scirocco, expected in 2008.
More than a true coupè, it seems an elongated Golf hatchback, enriched by the de-rigueur embedded exhaust tubes, and an air diffuser.

As anticipated, the front part of the Iroc recalls the Ecoracer concept.
The Iroc also seems to have a panoramic glass roof.
One could have hoped for something a little bit sportier and original.
We’ll wait for the official images to confirm (or deny, maybe!) that this is how the Iroc will look like.
