The 2009 Venice Film Festival opened with Roberto Cavalli designed frocks for Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Italian diva of this year’s festival, Elisabetta Gregoraci (accompanying Flavio Briatore) and Sandrine Bonnaire.
Other Italian celebrities were also at the Lido, including Simona Ventura, Donatella Finocchiaro in Alberta Ferretti, and Laura Chiatti in a seriously sexy shiny blue dress with plunging open back.
Other VIPs strutting their stuff were Eva Mendes, Silvia Toffanin and Afef.
The opening night film was Baaria by Giuseppe Tornatore.
