Destination Milton Keynes has launched a new promotional website and video to highlight the city’s attractions ahead of the Culture 2029 bid. The video features iconic landmarks such as Stadium MKXscapeThe Bowland Centre:MKshowcasing the diversity of activities and experiences available in the city.

The website includes five key areas: Things to doWhat’s onPlaces to stayEvent venuesand Plan your visit. It also features advertising and special offers from local businesses, ensuring the content remains fresh and up-to-date. This initiative is part of a broader campaign to drive tourism and support the City of Culture bid.

Art in the Park: A Celebration of Culture and Creativity

In its 18th year, the Art in the Park festival is set to attract over 12,000 visitors with a day of live performances, community workshops, art installations, and cultural celebrations. This year’s theme, transitionreflects both the MKIAC’s 25-year journey and Milton Keynes’ evolution as the city approaches its 60th anniversary.

Highlights include the Parade of Colourcommunity-led creative workshops, live music and dance performances, and a unique poetry and storytelling session. The festival embodies the idea that culture should be collaborative and rooted in community participation, encouraging people of all ages to explore creativity and cultural heritage.

MKIAC founder Anouar Kassim emphasized the importance of creativity in bringing people together, stating, “The past 25 years have shown how powerful creativity can be in bringing people together, whether through festivals, conversations or shared artistic experiences. Art in the Park is a perfect example of that spirit, where people from across Milton Keynes come together to celebrate culture, creativity and connection.”
