KTM did not miss the appointment with the 70th edition of EICMA Milan, where the Austrian manufacturer introduced some very important model that will soon hit the markets worldwide.
Most of all, we got the 1290 Super Duke R, which is at the Milan exhibition in prototype form and the awesome two-cylinder liquid-cooled engine of the RC8 R.

As for yet, KTM has not revealed the technical specifications of this model, but we can see it has a chrome molybdenum frame, single-sided swingarm in aluminum, WP upside-down forks, aluminum wheels and Brembo brakes.

Among the other highlights of the model, surely worth mentioning are ABS and Traction Control, which will come as standard equipment.
Another pretty juicy novelty is announced 390 Duke, equipped with a 375 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit capable of delivering 44 hp at 9500 rpm and 35 Nm of peak torque at 7250 rpm.
6-speed transmission, steel trellis frame, 43 mm upside down forks from WP, monoshock also from WP are the other main features of the model.

Braking will come from a single 300 mm disc brake at the front (mated to a 4-piston caliper) and a 230 mm disc at the rear.

ABS as standard.
Third significant ‘new entry’ in the KTM range will be the 690 Duke R, a high-performance version of the well-known 690 Duke.
This new configuration – with slightly revised and more sporty-oriented chassis – produces 70 hp, while the ‘regular’ one delivers 68 hp.
WP provides for the suspension at both front (43 mm inverted fork) and back (Monoshock with Pro-Lever linkage), while braking will come from Italian masters Brembo.
The model will come with dedicated Akrapovic exhaust system.
Among the VIPs spotted at the KTM stall in Milan, 6-time MX World Champion Toni Cairoli and the recently crowned Moto3 World Champion Sandro Cortese.
