The 2011 World Superbike championship kicked off in fine style even if round 1 was more or less what we expected from Carlos Checa who ended a perfect week with a double victory at Phillip Island.
The Spaniard wiped up in the points standings, with Max Biaggi following with a double second place, while Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri shared the limelight for the third spot on the podium.
