We’ve already been introduced to the Vyrus 987 motorcycle and here we see the first track video of the 986 four-cylinder racing bike.
The Vyrus 986 M2 has been built for Moto2 regulations and is therefore equipped with a Honda CBR600RR engine, on a new chassis.
It was first shown at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona in January.
The most innovative part of the Vyrus is how the chassis works.
The front end has no real fork as the steering connects directly to the hub – in its place is a swing arm.
The whole chassis is actually a carbonfibre monocoque structure which houses the engine in a kind of cradle.
The frame to do that is an upside-down omega frame which the engine squats in.
The upper part is where the tank and steering is and obviously where the rider sits, and the rest of the components are all bolted inside the monocoque space.
All of that gives the Vyrus 986 M2 an amazing look.
