World Superbike Red Devils Roma Ducati team has picked up an important sponsorship deal with Italian holding firm General Invest that will back the team for the final three rounds of this season and more importantly confirms the team will be present in 2013 as Marketing Manager Vincenzo Trani, Chairman of the Board of General Invest, has decided to be personally involved in the running of the team.

Having General Invest onboard may allow the Red Devils Roma team to expand from one rider to two next year and Team Manager Andrea Petricca is in talks with Ducati to continue running the Italian marque and field the new 1199 Panigale that should make its WSBK debut next season and replace the current 1098R.

With talks of expansion, Niccolò Canepa – currently 19th in the standings with a best result of 7th in race 1 at Moscow – could now keep his seat as BMW Italia’s Michel Fabrizio was linked to replace him next season.
