Tom Sykes continues Donington domination in warm-up practice

This morning’s warm-up practice at Donington was sunny and dry even if the air and track temperatures were still a little cool and it was the last chance for the Superbike riders to make their final adjustments before the two races.

Who didn’t need to refine his set-up was Tom Sykes who once again posted the fastest time in the brief fifteen minute session with a 1.

28.
446 lap, that was almost four tenths faster than Sylvain Guintoli who was second and will be taking off next to the Kawasaki rider on the starting grid.

Davide Giugliano was third and followed by Syke’s team mate Loris Baz and they were two of the other seven riders that were in less than one second from Mr.
Superpole.
Leon Camier continues to impress on his home circuit as he was fifth fastest ahead of BMW Goldbet duo Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri who also ran off track halfway through the practice.
Behind Melandri were Jonathan Rea and Eugene Laverty, while a suffering Carlos Checa managed a 10th spot with his new engine spec ahead of Jules Cluzel and wild card rider Niccolò Panigale who was the only Ducati rider to qualify in SP3 yesterday to the chagrin of Checa and Ayrton Badovini.

Leon Haslam was able to complete nine laps, but there are some doubts whether his leg can hold up for both races.
