Several British Supersport teams were at the Alcarras circuit in Spain testing and one of their very private guests was Moto2 GP rider Marc Marquez.
Marquez has been out of action since his crash at Sepang last October which left him with a serious double vision problem that required surgery, has missed most of the pre-season Moto2 tests, and at Alcarras he took the opportunity to ride one of the 600cc Supersport machines to check out his true fitness (he’s been training in the gym and on a motocross bike so far) before riding his Suter bike.

The Spanish rider had previously indicated that he could be in doubt for the season opener in Qatar, but during the official Repsol presentation last Saturday, Marquez reported that his eyesight has improved and that he was almost 100% fit and very close to be able to ride without any problems, but he wants to recover completely from this injury.
