Over 200 Jorge Lorenzo fans showed up at a dinner to celebrate the new World Champion at a restaurant outside Barcelona.
A very emotional Lorenzo, thanked all his ‘Spartans’ for coming to the races and supporting him during the good and bad times.
“We are just 600 Spartans, although some could not come, because they are foreigners or because of the crisis.

This dinner is the culmination of a perfect year and to see that I have so many people supporting me, makes me feel stronger.

Lorenzo with tears in his eyes, also surprised his fans with a video and music by Coldplay with the best images from his MotoGP title at Sepang.
“It’s been quite a while since I won the championship and I’m already thinking about 2011, but first I’ll take a vacation.
” said the World Champion who has been on the move with dozens and dozens of appearances and interviews since he won the title.

Lorenzo also sent a message to his critics: “People who say I’ve won this championship because Rossi and Pedrosa were injured, are only looking for excuses not to praise our success.

We deserve the title because we have been and are the best,” he said.
“I don’t aspire to be the best Spanish rider in history, I’m content with being one of the best.
