Canada’s Amarok Racing has completed the first stage of testing for the latest version of their P1, an all-electric racer that in the aftermath of these tests got renamed P1A (where ‘A’ stands for ‘Advanced’): the bike basically went through a fine tuning process aimed at the optimization of its overall performance, and now it is said to be faster and generally ‘better’ than its first incarnation, introduced about a year ago.

The brand-new version has been introduced for the first time to both press and public at the recent Toronto Motorcycle Show, where Amorak also announced that the bike will take part in the 2013 TTXGP Championship (the most important racing series for ‘zero emissions’ motorcycles) with the factory-backed Amarok-Agni Racing team.
According to its maker, the engine of the P1A can now produce 90 hp, which is a significant increase compared to the 75 hp of the previous version.

However, no information was released about the weight of the bike.
Over the next three months, the engineers will carry on with the development work on the P1A with a special focus on the chassis, while the Amorak white collars will continue the research for new sponsors to support their TTXGP project.

Moreover, the Canadian manufacturer has announced that the development of the second generation of this green racer – tentatively dubbed P2 – is already underway, going as far as saying it might even make its debut in the TTGPX by the end of the coming year.
