Alvaro Bautista was caught out by the cold track and crashed and was first taken to the circuit medical centre on a stretcher and then transferred to Brno hospital for a suspected L1 vertebra injury.

According to the motogp.
com website the Spaniard has been ruled out of Sunday’s race, but their is no further information about Bautista’s physical condition.

UPDATED:Dr.
Claudio Costa speaking to Italia 1, has confirmed that Bautista has not fractured his L1 vertebra, but sustained only heavy bruising and will undergo a further medical check tomorrow morning to decide whether he’ll race or not.
