Sponsorship problems hampers Remy Gardner's CEV partecipation

An official press release issued by Team Gardner Racing (TGR) has informed fans that Remy Gardner who currently races in the CEV Buckler Moto3 championship will be missing this weekend’s round at the Motorland Aragon circuit.
The reason? What almost every rider sadly has nowadays … sponsorship problems due to the economic climate.

Here’s the press release signed by Wayne Gardner:It is with great regret and disappointment I advise TGR’s decision to cancel our entry to the next CEV Buckler race at Motorland this month.

Unfortunately, our media partner Twenty Four Seven Entertainment has been unable to fulfil their financial commitments to the team due to economic hardship.
Team Gardner Racing were appointed Ambassadors for the company’s Freestylers brand which included brand awareness throughout Team Gardner Racing’s activities.
We are working on many different levels and with the help of supporters around the world to find a new suitable partner.
In the meantime our current situation necessitates the difficult decision to miss the next race, and investigate alternative ways to operate in order for my son Remy to contest some of the races left in the CEV calendar this year.

Moto3 is a new and very expensive class requiring a substantial budget.
Until now I have funded the majority of expenses to set up a team to the level required, based on the financial commitment we were promised by our media partners.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our other loyal sponsors and supporters, our partners Moriwaki Engineering and Team Minibikes Fundacion, all of whom have been incredibly supportive and understanding of our current situation.
Our Spanish rider, Gabriel Rodrigo will continue to work with Team Minibikes as he has independent sponsors and will continue to race under the TGR banner.
We would also like to thank all the dedicated fans who have been so encouraging and supportive over the past few years.
Remy asked me to include the following statement from him.
“I feel really sad and disappointed about what’s happened.
I’m disappointed for myself and also for my Mum and Dad who have put in so much time since last year to put all of this together for me and Luca.
I know they’re trying really hard to find other ways to keep going this year and I just pray that we can.
I’m really thankful to all the sponsors and fans who have stuck by me and I just want the chance to do my best for everyone,” Remy said.
This situation has put a great deal of pressure on our family and the team of people we’ve been working with, however we will continue to work toward funding a limited season of racing, testing and development for Moriwaki Engineering, and we hope to welcome additional partners to join our journey in this exciting sport now and into the future.
